KORKZcrew is the blue dot on the map.


Woke up to 30-knot winds but good protection at our anchorage, where we were able to tuck in even more tightly in this known hurricane hole thanks to KORKZcrew’s shallow draft. With winds gusting to 34, and expected to be even stronger tonight, suffice it to say we didn't go anywhere today. But here are two quick ideas of what the weather was like:


KORKZcrew wasn't swinging around quite as wildly as this timelapse implies, but still . . . lots of movement and mercifully not much rolling, so we were actually pretty comfortable.

Looking up through the hatch just over the kitchen. Skeet is on the bow.
